Loftus Park

Loftus Stadium

From 1948, Loftus Versfeld was gradually further developed, and in particular in the 1970s underwent several expansions. By the 1980s, the stadium had reached most of its current shape. The Stadium was selected as a playing venue for the 2010 World Cup. As a result, it underwent a thorough refurbishment. For most of its history, Loftus Versfeld primarily hosted rugby matches, and it is owned by local rugby club Blue Bulls.


Pretoria Boys high School

Pretoria Boys High School can trace its origins back over more than 110 years. During the Anglo-Boer War (1899-1902), the city of Pretoria was captured in 1900 by British forces under Lord Roberts and the Transvaal became a British colony. One of the responsibilities of the colonial administration was to re-establish schools as these had all been closed during the hostilities


University of Pretoria

The University of Pretoria is a multi-faculty research-intensive university with campuses in Pretoria, its surrounds, and in the country’s economic hub, Johannesburg. Afrikaanse Hoër Seunskool

Sedert 1920 is die geskiedenis van die skool nou verweef met ‘n belangrike groeitydperk van die Afrikaner en sy taal. Met dieselfde pioniersgees as hul voorgangers, het ‘n stroom jong Afrikaners uit hierdie skool gevloei om leiersposisies in alle vlakke van die Suid-Afrikaanse gemeenskap en die Afrikaner volkslewe vol te staan. Vandag word daar met trots teruggekyk op ‘n roemryke verlede wat elke dag as fondament vir die bouwerk van môre dien.


Afrikaanse Hoër Meisieskool

Die Afrikaanse Hoërskool van Pretoria het op 28 Januarie 1920 danksy die wens van ‘n aantal Afrikaanse ouers tot stand gekom wat hulle vir die stigting van ‘n Afrikaansmedium hoërskool beywer het. Die skool is gestig met 18 ingeskrewe meisies en 26 seuns. Gedurende die eerste sewe bestaansjare is die skool in die huis van genl. Piet Joubert, Visagiestraat 218 gehuisves. Mnr. Frank le Roux was die eerste hoof van die skool.
